yrieithyddFor the first time in weeks I'm posting from my own laptop!!!
I couldn't quite remember how long it had been, but when I started Opera it loaded my friends' page from the cache and the date was Tuesday November 14th. The computer was at the mender's for weeks and when it came back it came back with a new (larger) hard drive (and the old one in a bag). This meant that I needed to reinstall programs etc to make things work and this did not happen before Christmas![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
caliston fiddled it so that the machine will boot in either the new configuration or in the old one. I came home from his tried to put the network card and it would not go in. Seeing as I could not afford to send it off for weeks as I need this machine now, we took it to a local shop who mended it this afternoon. It cost me £70 and I think I'll write a stiff letter to the original company as the repairs were under guarantee and they really should not introduce faults in repair, but they did that when it went off in September so I really didn't trust them a third time!
