Parking

Am I right in thinking that it is possible to park in the Shire Hall carpark on a Friday evening for free? I know they charge for public use on a Saturday, but I seem to recall curig doing so on one occasion when he was in Cambridge (Bar Hill) with a car, though I can't remember why he had the car.

I think so, although I'm not sure. But it's a moot point, because all the pay and display on castle hill, and all the residents parking on castle hill, becomes free and public after 6.

Where when I say "on castle hill", I mean, "near Honey Hill Mews on Pound Hill and surrounding streets"

[grins] But that still has the problem of finding a space whereas I suspect the car park is unlikely to be full. And it is very convenient for the pub.

BTW, will I see you at any point this weekend? I'll be at LSM for Lady Day tomorrow,* but on Sunday I'm going to St Paul's with caliston as it seems only fair; he's come to LSM a few times now. I'm guessing that you're not doing staggy things though.

*I'm currently happy because having remembered that tomorrow is Lady Day, if I say first EP for it on the train on the way, then it'll be Lady when I'm in the pub tonight and Lady Day isn't Lent!

IIRC, that's right. I certainly didn't pay on that occasion. I had the car on that occasion because it was in the summer (when I came to play for Kate and Steven's wedding) and I was staying with my Aunt and Uncle at Bar Hill. Car from Aber to Cambridge is quicker, and very useful if you are staying at Bar Hill.
