I need more user pics. Over recent days I've found myself wanting a geeky one (specifically computer geeky), a ringing one and a Methodist one. Any suggestions? And a general ish one. I've been using the Welsh alphabet for that, but in someways I want to reserve that to Welsh specific.

Yup! I've just added it too my interests (which are a rather ad-hoc subset of my interests!) I don't post about ringing that much but there are a few.

I learned at St Nicholas's, Norton in Hertfordshire. I used to ring every week there for services and practices. When I came to Cambridge I rang at a few towers (St Benet's once, St Andrew the Great now and again) but I didn't keep it as regular as I once had, and now I'm in Pennsylvania and there are about three towers in the entire state.

Towers are somewhat rarer in the States! I'm a regular at Bene't's, I occasionally make StAG practices (no service ringing there of course). It's fun. StAG last week was good actually, because I was ringing on 8 vaguely compentently. The trouble with having made Bene't's my home tower is that it's only a 6.

I said I'd made a few ringing related posts. Interestingly finding them has proved me wrong about something. I ended up ringing Bob Triples on Thursday as I said I wasn't ready for Granny Triples, so it changed to Bob Triples. Now, I remembered having rung Granny Triples once (but very badly and I've been ringing everything on 8 badly since August at least) but not Bob Triples so I was amused by the idea of ringing something I hadn't rung instead of something I had* but I understand how Plain Bob works and all the double dodging in Granny Trips scares me. However, there is a reference in one of the posts to `more Bob Triples' thus implying that I had rung it before (but about 18 months ago!)

*Which is nearly as good as Peterhouse Formal on Saturday where I turned away prawns (which I used to like before I became a veggie) and was brought a slice of melon (which I used to hate but have learnt to tolerate since coming to Cambridge)!
