Yes, that struck me too - I rather liked it, but wondered whether there wasn't more symbolism (beyond the immediate) that you could dive into... like building... and planting. A sense that in some senses Mary was actually met by Christ the gardener! That perhaps it's a valuable image - something that I'd never considered previously.
