Phone Bills
Oct. 3rd, 2005 02:27 pmI got my final NTL phone bill yesterday (from my pige!). I am puzzled. I recognise some of the numbers (including the one for the 2:44 minute call!) and I'm not that bothered about a quick call to a Cambridge number I don't immediately recognise or even the evning call to a Mobile I cannot place. What bothers me are the 5 calls made in a space of three minutes to a mobile number, the first four of which are of between 1 and 4 seconds duration and the last of 3:44 as though there was difficulty getting through. I'd've thought I'd remember this occurring. But I can't. What's more when I thought about when this was (around 10:30am on the 7th September) I became more puzzled because I am 99% certain that that was the Wednesday when, having gone to Morning Prayer at Church at 9am, I was asked to serve for the 10am Low Mass. So how could I have been making phonecalls from my room when I was tidying up after Mass at Church? The total cost of this is around 90p which at one level is not much, but the principle of the thing bothers me. What should I do about it?
