This is my fourth summer in Cambridge and I have to confess to failing to go to any of the plays at the Shakespeare festival in any year. I am determined to stop this this year and so have suggested to [soc-methsoc-going-to-the-pub-in-the-holidays] that we meet at 7:15pm at the Back(s) of Johns to see As you like it. I thought I'd extend the invitation to my LJ friends too (though I recognise that those of you not in Cambridge will be unable to make it!).

In other news, my bicycle's back and it goes! I always forget how much difference a service makes!

Let me know what it's like. I've been distinctly unimpressed with the few Shakespeare festival productions I've seen, but I was quite tempted by As you as I've never seen (or read) it before.

A Shakespeare play [livejournal.com profile] the_alchemist hasn't seen or read?

There are a few, I blush to admit. Comedy of Errors, Two Noble Kinsmen, Julius Caesar, Edward III and Henry VIII are the others. And there are five or six more I have read and/or seen but can't really remember.

I know what you mean about that wonderful 'my bike has been serviced' feeling, by the way. I usually have it done in September as a 'birthday present' to myself, and to compensate for Autumn sapping all my energy away.
