Nice Drivers

yrieithyddThere exists at least one nice bus driver!
I left the Sidgwick site at about 5 past 6 this evening as as I came out between Music and English, I saw the 4 at the West Road stop and thought, `bad timing, Grange Road will be a nightmare'. You see one of the big problems with buses is that on average bikes (at least the speed I go) and buses travel at about the same speed (allowing for the bus to stop, traffic lights etc) which means that if one starts just in front of the bus, one will continually be passing and being passed. However, this bus driver was nice and stayed behind me. This didn't particularly inconvenience him, but showed far more consideration than one usually gets from bus drivers. (Although the free bus which was turning into Pembroke st while I was trying to turn right out of it tried and thanked me when I moved sideways.)
Then there was a nice driver who let me across Madingley Road into Storey's Way!
